California Vegetarian

Jimboy’s is a fast food Mexican restaurant that does a decent job taking care of vegetarian customers. The food is good, not your most ‘authentic’ Mexican faire, but tasty nonetheless. We especially enjoy their bean tacos, but also like their combo plates when we are very hungry.

There are several options on the menu (listed explicitly on their nutrition page). They are emphatic about never using lard, and make their rice and beans daily. They are not as fast as a fast food place like Taco Bell because food is actually made to order.

They also have a modest salsa bar to compliment their food. The salsa bar is generally not as elaborate as mid-range restaurants, but is more than I’ve seen at other fast food places.
The price is a tad bit high for what you get (hence the 2.5 star rating instead of a 3), but I still recommend them to you if you find yourself with a hankering for Mexican food and are afraid that you may not be able to find a restaurant that makes clean beans.
