POSH BAGEL
206 F Street
Davis, CA 95616

In downtown Davis, about three blocks away from the University of California campus, there is a small bagel shop that serves bagel sandwiches for lunch.  There are several vegetarian options here, though not as many for the vegan. One can choose a simple bagel with or with out cream cheese, or a fancier sandwich.  George and I chose the fancier option, each eating Posh’s “Mediterranean.”

This sandwich comes with hummus, sun-dried tomato spread, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, sprouts, cucumbers, pepperchinies, and a pickle spear on the side.  George opted out of the peppers and chose a sourdough bagel.  I had everything on a sun-dried tomato bagel.

I really enjoyed this sandwich, and would recommend it to you.  The price is fair, and the food is good.  In addition to the bagels and the bagel sandwiches, Posh offers a variety of Dirty Chips and dessert offerings.  George and I did not have dessert, but we really like Dirty Chips.  The sandwiches, chips and sodas cost us just under $16 for two people.

If you are in a terrible rush, you may do better going to one of the chain fast food places within a few blocks, because Posh makes everything to order and the people behind the counter do not seem too aware of time.
